Our Strength

Parts Supply

Prompt supply of necessary parts from three depots

Our parts supply scheme is carried out by the Production Management Group that prepares parts necessary for maintenance and repairs, and the Parts Management Group that receives and ships the parts in concert with on-site customer engineers. We have three parts depots: one at the Toshiba Komukai Complex, the Ariake Warehouse that operates 24/7, and the Okinawa Warehouse responsible for overseas shipment. The Production Management Group and the Parts Management Group collaborate to rapidly supply necessary parts according to the requirements of our customers and customer engineers.

We fulfill thousands of requests for parts supplies every month and charter a transport in the event of an emergency

Our mainstay products are railway station service systems, banknote processing systems, postal service systems, ID issue systems, and expressway toll collection systems. We fulfill 3,000 to 5,000 requests for parts supplies for these systems every month. Railway station service systems are most frequently maintained. We carry out thorough inventory control to be always ready to supply needed spare parts. The Ariake Warehouse has a partnership with a logistics company. When we receive an urgent request for spare parts from our customer engineers via the Call Center, we charter a transport and send them from the Ariake Warehouse.

Parts supply from the Okinawa International Logistics Hub

Our services extend overseas to customers’ systems in Europe, North America, Asia and elsewhere. Our Parts Management Group in Japan procures spare parts and consumables required overseas and stocks them in the Okinawa Warehouse.

Shipment from the Okinawa International Logistics Hub helps reduce the time taken to supply parts to overseas customers. We collaborate with a logistics company to offer overnight delivery to customers in Asia and make delivery within four days elsewhere.

Using a parts supply database for advance procurement based on demand predictions

Rapid parts supply not only helps facilitate on-site maintenance work but also enhances customer trust. We maintain a database of past parts supplies and use it to predict future demand for spare parts and consumables. Based on predictions, we acquire parts that are frequently required for maintenance before they are actually needed and carry out a thorough inventory control for these parts. In addition, we collect information from our customer engineers, Call Center operators and repair personnel to improve the accuracy of demand prediction.

Grasping the on-site situation to ensure reliable parts supply

Lack of even a single part hinders maintenance work. In order to reduce the burden on our customer engineers and to maintain relationships of trust with our customers, we endeavor to ensure smooth parts supply while grasping the on-site situation. If there is anything unclear, we make it a point to directly ask the customer engineer concerned and ship the parts in cooperation with the Call Center using the best possible means of transportation.
